Open Question: My school does not have an American Flag in the gym! What should I do?

I go to a small private school (300 kids) in New York State, and there is no American flag anywhere, let alone in the gym. Last year we had a program where kids from different organizations and schools came and competed in competitions. During the opening program, as it is customary at the start of these type of programs, the pledge of allegiance was said. But everybody was looking around for the flag! We do not say the pledge of allegiance at school, and that was the first time it had been said at our school. What can I do to get a flag put in the gym? One in every classroom would be nice, but what we really need is one on the gym! Is there anywhere my school can get it for free, or for very little cost?
