Open Question: Hi can someone recommend a place to celebrate a birthday in nyc for and adult?

I'm looking for a venue for a friend to do her birthday she's turning 23,and i want to go somewhere fun and entertaining within the new york city area are there any places someone can recommend. We are looking into carinvalnyc which seems great,but I was hoping to get as many places similar to that as possible.
